|
First there was that ridiculous tailless Fraggle. Now, there is a little talking hellion in my house. *My* house! She waltzed out of her box today like she owned the place. She should be ashamed of herself, what with her drippy nose and runny eye. And she runs after those kittenish mousie toys and she even chased the Spright! How dare she! That hamster is *mine* to chase (even if I do tend to be chased by the hamster, that's not the point, you see . . .)
This is an outrage. Measures shall be taken.

10:22 pm - Oh, the indignity . . .

First I was left in a house with children and other cats, then I was moved, then another house with children and other cats, and then, on Mommy's Christ-mas, yet another cat came into my house. But this, this is outrageous. A cat that looks like me (not as devastatingly handsome, of course) is in my house! He's bigger, and is alreayd nose-sniffing with the Fraggle, that' shameless brat.
Mommy, of course, has begun to make all due apology to me. There has been much stroking of fur, and holding, but I have registered my displeasure with a series of growls and guttural noises, as well as by ruining the tying ribbon on her brand new kitty-ear hat.
Six weeks she says! Six weeks is a lifetime for a cat. I shall have to prove to this, this Harlem that this is MY house, and I will brook no opposition.

That Fraggle and I are looking through the door at Mommy, who is now strangely fuzzy for some reason, and giving shiny things to small people. Every once in a while she eats one of the shiny things, and still doesn't give us any.

but the 'lectric blanket isn't ALWAYS on, and that Fraggle is still here (but don't tell anyone, I like her now), and she sometimes talks about getting a DOG and bringing a BABY in here!
But it's ok, I guess, because she gives scritches and gooshy food. Like now.

|
I like legs. Human legs. I especially like sleeping between them.
I also like making Mom's housemates' dog whimper by just looking at her. I also like laughing at the Fraggle for being scared of that dog. Silly Fraggle.
I'm going to sleep between Uncle Chris' legs now, because he is passed out on Mom's floor, and is warm.

5:22 pm - Another tree!
|
So Mommy and the big man human put up a big tree in my house, but then Mommy was away for a while, and the door to the tree was all closed up. But then Mommy came home, and told the Fraggle and me that she was here to stay for a while, and she opened up the room! And she put more lights and shiny things in our window! I even got to steal a bow from the tree! (Mommy didn't like that very much, but I did.)
Now she said somethign about wrapping presents, which means lots of neat paper rustling for us to attack! I mean, someone has to teach this silly Fraggle about Christmas!

She's not here. Again. But it's okay, because I have the Fraggle to play with. Besides, whenever she come shome Mommy always yells because of th emess we make in the bathroom. But that white stuff on the roll is FUN to play with! And besides, it's *my* house. I can play how I want.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go pounce the Fraggle. She's eyeing up my Galli-bad and I don't like that look of it.

12:27 am - I think I like this sister...

...even though she is very pounsive. She is a silly Fragola, but Mommy calls her a Fraggle. She needs to be more clean! I try to clean her, but she runs all away. Then I tackle her and lick her ears. She was very sick at first, but now is MUCH better. She doesn't look like an alyun anymore.
Oh, and our old man human left. Mommy said it was an okay thing, and that there might be a brand new wonderful man human, that she won't feel she has to yell at as much. Mommy's *really* happy.
OK, I have to go give the Fraggle more pouncing lessons now. That means I sit on the windowsill and wag my tail till she pounces it. Silly kitten.

5:14 pm - The SISTER

She's a rat. A big, puffy rat, and Mamma won't kill her. She eats my food,a nd won't go away when I growl. I'm always nervous now, wondering if SHE will be around. And she smells. Mamma is always keeping after her with a tissue or something b/c she doesn't even clean her butt.
I hope this thing isn't staying.

10:01 am - Strange tiny humans
|
Mommy had some people over last night. The two big people were ok - they said I was cute and gave me scritches, but then they ignored me! Everyone was paying attention to the little tiny human, and I don't understand it because he didn't even seem to do anything. Except make a loud noise, which I had to check out, because I was worried. I mean, he was littler than me! How could there be a human so small?
Anyway, after he left Mommy gave me lots of attention. I think she realized that I was afraid that she'd get her own little human and then forget about me. And she did keep saysing something about a "sister"...

10:38 am - Vacations and birthdays

Mommy's home! She went away for a whole month, but that was ok because I got to play with my girlfriend, Geezer, and some kids and Auntie Blanche's house! But now Mommy's home, and Daddy's home, and Mommy says it's my "birfday" or something like that. I don't know what that means, but there's warm wet food in my dish, and Mommy is being extra-snuggly today. She also said something about a little sister, though, and I don't know what that means.

9:56 pm - Changes

The humans are getting more and more confusing. Earlier today, while I was waiting patiently for Mommy to come home, she did, and them shut me into the bedroom. Then there was much loud banging. Then Daddy let me out, and I discovered that my entie house was filled with new things to climb on, and crinkly bags, and round metally things. Now I have an extra table to jump on!
And they aren't paying any attention to me, as they eat CHEESE!
But now Daddy's hugging me and Mommy's typing for me, so I'm happy.

11:36 am - It's been so long!

And so much has happened!
First, I've been a sick little kitten. I've been horking up stuff every few days, and its weird. Sometimes it is just my food, sometimes it is hair. Auntie OE told Mommy to give me butter, and I like that!
I went to see Mommy's grandpop the other day, and that was VERY exciting - he has a big house that I could run around in and I knocked over a lamp and he didn't even care! He even liked when I pounced him! Mommy says that Grandpop might adopt my Uncle Schniffles from Mommy's mommy when she moves in a few weeks, but no one knows what will happen to poor Uncle Seymour.
Mommy told me that my sisters moved this week. I don't know how much I like that - Mommy says they are going to be much nearer by. I remember them being bigger, though...I don't know if I want Uncle GP to bring them to my house. I might have to share my toys, like the neat shiny floating things with strings that Mommy gave me after her birthday...
Also, I am still very blue. With a purple nose and purple pads.

|
Mommy is good to snuggle, but Mommy AND Daddy are EXTRA warm! Last night I got to squeeze in between them, and they didn't mind because I went "purr, purr, purr" all night. Mommy didn't even toss me out of the bedroom for scratching. Course I didn't scratch last night, because I was so WARM and COMFY!
I'm the *happyest* kitten!

And I'm attacking his leg! He said "Cat, we do not eat our friends' legs," but I think he's just not used to seeing me around. He just said something about destroying Mommy's shiny silver box with all the colors, but I don't see why that's a big deal. Anyway, he's picking me up and giving me treats while Mommy types this for me, so I'm happy. Maybe he'll get mad at me, yell, then feel bad and give me a treat like Mommy does.

Mommy did some stuff with boxes and loud crinkly bags, and all of a sudden the big cat toy with all the lights and the shiny things is gone! All that's left are little shiny pieces on the floor that Mommy keeps trying to pick up and keep away from me, but what fun is that?
I wonder what I did to make Mommy take that BIG toy away...

11:42 am - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Whatever that means. Mommy kept saying it last night, and then people were shouting and there were lots of flashes of bright, colory light outside. I tried to catch them! (It didn't work - it was like there was this wall I couldn't see between me and the pretty lights...)
Mommy and her friends gave me a new treat last night, too - CHEESE! I *like* cheese. I ate it all up! I think Mommy was just trying to get me away from all the neat little mini people that she and her other big people had poked out of a box. I love boxes! They *always* have something good! But it was FUN to chase these little crunchy people - all of a sudden there would be a clickynoise, then one of the big people would put these neat little toys on the ground. I don't know *why* Mommy said that this was a *people* game at all!
Well, this talking to people on the moving silver box is nice and all, but Mommy just fed me, and plus, she's got milk in her glass, so I'd better go get it now when she's not looking.
